The Beachcomber*

Back in July when the sun was beaming and the weather was heating up Vancouver, make-up artist Eman Aziz and stlyist Janet Li and I had the pleasure of shooting with Tia from NEXT Canada.  It was the first time I shot with Tia and hopefully it won’t be the last.  I really enjoyed shooting with her not only because she’s such a professional, but she’s also so insightful and wise.

Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2011 Ready To Wear

On the last day of Paris Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton showed their Spring/Summer 2011 Ready to Wear line.

Miu Miu Rewind

I know the runways are currently showing Spring 2011 Ready to Wear, but I’ve got to jump us back a season… Fall 2010. 

One of my favourite collection from the past season was from Prada’s little sister Miu Miu.  Miuccia Prada hit it out of the park with this collection.  The details from head to toe was simply amazing. 

I was recently in Paris and came upon the Miu Miu store.  I was so happy to be able to see the pieces in person.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Back in April makeup artist Eman Aziz, stylist Janet Li and I shot with NEXT Canada’s Alex.  The series was shot in a local community garden a stone’s throw from where I live.

Alex is one of my favourite models. Not only is she a great model, but she’s an amazing person.  In recent months she’s graced the pages of many publications. Most recently she can be seen in Z!NK Canada with the fabulous Britt Schafer of NEXT and in my “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” series featured in South Africa’s CHEW Magazine.

Here are some behind the scenes pictures from the shoot.  We shot this  way back in chilly April so while we all were bundled up in our warm coats and sweaters, Alex had to wear barely there bikinis, swim suits, body suits, shorts, skirts etc.

Nouvelle Nouvelle

A little while back I shot NEXT Canada’s new face Adria with Forte Rep’s makeup artist, Eman Aziz and stylist Alleeneda Thammavong.

Adria’s got an interesting back story.  A few months ago, Adria was scouted by Corey from NEXT Canada while shopping in Metrotown.  Weird thing is, a year earlier Adria's older sister was also approached by Corey while shopping downtown, but she was not interested in pursuing modeling.  No one realised the connection.  Only afterwards did Adria and her mum realise it was also Corey who tried to scout her older sister a year earlier.  Talk about a weird coincidence.

Land of the Silver Birch

So back in June I had the pleasure of working with stylist Alleeneda Thammavong and makeup artist Livia Metcalf.  In our first collaboration together, we shot Alana from NEXT Canada.  She’s got such poise and a terrific sense of humour.  Basically by the end of the shoot, we decided that when Alana heads of to Europe we’ll be right there with her…. every top model needs their own personal entourage, don’t they?

Queen of Hearts

Recently, stylist Wendy Cook, make-up artist Meagan Davidson (MAC Cosmetics) and hairstylist Michelle Webb (L’Atelier Yaletown) and I teamed up for another fun day of shooting with NEXT Canada models Tiera Skovbye and Alex G.

We shot the series in Wendy’s walk-in-closet. Well, actually it’s her apartment, but from the living room to the kitchen it’s nothing but clothes, clothes and more clothes. Thanks Wendy for letting us raid your closet and apologies for leaving such a mess.

55 Shades of Me

Love Your Muff

Last year I shot a campaign for a new product call “I Love My Muff”.

Ritz Clinging is the founder and creator of this new feminine care product aimed to “provide daily love and care for down there.” There’s great buzz out there about this completely natural and hypoallergenic line. “I Love My Muff” has been such a  success even the legendary Fifth Avenue boutique, Henri Bendel picked up the line.  In fact, the exclusive retailer was the site of the line’s launch in the US.
